I Got Censored in Albert Lea.

Max “Maxeem” Konrardy has curated a show in Albert Lea, Minnesota called Panel, Line and Letter: Black and White Selections from Modern Midwest Comics.

I’ve been friends with Max since college, and he was nice enough to ask me to be in the show. So if you find yourself in Albert Lea, stop by the The Art Center in the town’s historic opera house. And say “Hi” to Max for me.

Also, the more profane qualities of my comic writing seemed to be too much for the sensible and folksy people of Albert Lea. If this flickr set is any indication, there has been a little piece of tape placed over my art where one of the characters utters the f-bomb.

What the fuck can you do?

Don’t worry. It was my doing after a completely unrelated work was moved out of the gallery completely. I wanted people to at least see the rest of the page and thought that a bit of paper on that 3M tacky stuff would do the trick. Kevin said it was tape, but I wouldn’t put tape on that nice glass.

He also said I was “renovating” the building instead of “restoring and rehabilitating” but what can ya do? Publicity is publicity, eh?
