I Got Censored in Albert Lea.

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

Max “Maxeem” Konrardy has curated a show in Albert Lea, Minnesota called Panel, Line and Letter: Black and White Selections from Modern Midwest Comics.

I’ve been friends with Max since college, and he was nice enough to ask me to be in the show. So if you find yourself in Albert Lea, stop by the The Art Center in the town’s historic opera house. And say “Hi” to Max for me.

Also, the more profane qualities of my comic writing seemed to be too much for the sensible and folksy people of Albert Lea. If this flickr set is any indication, there has been a little piece of tape placed over my art where one of the characters utters the f-bomb.

What the fuck can you do?

Here is a google translation of what I think is a Spanish speaker’s review of Habitual Entertainment #1 and 2. I love it.

Will Dinski put the experimental touch to him to the spectacle with several publications with diverse and amused formats. In the case of Habitual #1 and 2 Entertaiment contruye a Siamese conformed by two histories of neurotic personages to much professional projection who originally appeared separdas. Are histories raised in worlds with working nonspecific cities and that cry out to make of monotonía of the work a harmony kingdom. I remembered The Office but with the thematic freedom of cómics independent. Also visit blog that also holds and can watch cómic of Dinski published in the page of TopShelf.

“… that cry out to make of monotonía of the work a harmony kingdom.”

That’s a dusk jacket quote if I’ve ever seen one.
