Destined for failure …

Monday, February 26th, 2007

I made this little book today. Every so often I’ll get into my head that I want to keep a daily comic journal. It never lasts very long. This time will probably be no different.

GGrrraaahhh!!!

A buddy of mine, Sam Hiti, is having a bit of a virtual rumble over at his blog. I’ve thrown my hat into the ring with the above drawing. Actually a version of the above drawing. Sam very kindly asked that I tone down the dripping blood. He has upstanding citizens and impressionable children viewing his blog.

I didn’t think the reprobates and degenerates that I proudly find mulling around this place would mind a little blood.

Kramer’s Ergot Exhibition

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

If you live in the Twin Cities, are a cartoonist, or have a curious interest in comics then you’ve probably already seen this show.

These photos from the show include the work of Tom Gauld, Souther Salazar, Jeffery Brown, David Heatley, Elvis Studio, and Dan Zettwoch.

I wish someone would explain to me how this amazing exhibition ended up in Minnesota.

At the opening, I overheard this conversation.
Young Woman: “Wow. So all these cartoonists are famous?”
Young Man: “Yeah!” Thinks about it. “Well. No. Not really.”
