Dear Mom,

Sorry but I can’t make it to church this Thanksgiving. My church here in Minneapolis needs volunteers for their soup kitchen. As always, you and Dad and little Sammy will be in my prayers. Please say hello to Pastor Nelson for me.

Guess what! My prayers have been answered. I have one of my comic book graphic novel drawings published in a real magazine! It’s true. The story is called The Pressman, and I’ve included a copy just for you. The esteemed magazine is called Other Magazine and it’s available somewhere on the east cost, I think.

You’ll notice it has a very brightly colored female football player on the cover. She better look out! I think she’s going to be tackled! Oh No!

Hey, show it to Dad. He loves that stuff.
